I have applied once to get paid for doing a survey on -line, but have yet to receive anything. I just want to know out there in internet land, if anyone received money for doing this?
If it is to easy to be true, majority of the time it is. I smell scam!
Has anyone actually received money from the work at home ads or by doing an on-line survey?
I receive $5 per survey and I get about 2 at most a month - for a grand total of $10
The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Reply:I am self employed, and have a pretty easy schedule. I was looking for something to fill my spare time.
I have done a BUNCH of surveys. I have gotten one check for $5 and 3 products to test. If my opinions can make better products, it is worth my time.
Never send money to any of the companies that ask for you to pay them up front. Real jobs pay for their employees to train, not make you buy your training materials.
Reply:www.mysurvey.com is slow earning, but I get $10 every few months.
Reply:I know what you mean, %26amp; be on the look out for foreign lottery scams that you never entered into. They will want you to cash a check and send the money thru western union, to pay part of the fees, taxes, but you are liable for that amount to your bank. We just got one of those the other day! My daughter called the phone number in the letter %26amp; the woman was out of the office all the time, but the guy that took the call was on his cell phone in his car, too wierd! I would drive over to Canada to collect, but there wasn't anywhere to go pick it up! If you have to pay a fee for something, it's a scam.
Reply:Basically, NO: the compensation is can't do justice with the time spent in the computer. But there are better alternatives.
Scams and Phishing sites abound in the Internet. I've been their victim sometime. In a couple of cases, though the company is legit, I found the marketing/compensation systems unreliable and/or the product impossible to sell. Yes, I do lost some money by shooting blindly for online opportunities. You can be their prey too if you can't get reliable advise from person who have experienced being cheated.
From my experience, I recommend you to look for:
1. Financially-solid online company who has not less than 5-years of productive and honest business. They must have a proven (automated, if possible) compensation plan that pays, provides superb support via dedicated (not outsourced) forum, a satisfied community of members, and openly-posted company information.
2. A marketable, high-demand product that can be sold worldwide and in realtime. A product that can be supported aftersales. Not those that can only give you income from ad-placing, spamming, online research, surveys that will take much of your precious time and/or are impossible to sell/accomplish.
3. The company has in place a simple, fully automated yet rejection-free marketing system. From mass-mailed invitations, tracking, automated billing, after-sales support to Swiss-clock precision of commision payout .
4. A business that anyone worldwide can do. Even average people with novice computer knowledge, or are those not really business-inclined can have the opportunity to succeed too.
5. Compensation plan that provides an ever increasing residual income that is diredtly proportional with your desire to help others succeed also in life.
Sounds difficult? Yes. And it cost me money to find those that pays. I may give you a list here. But there is one company that not only provides above but exceeds all expectations - - -
Global Domains International, Inc.

Reply:Most of them are scams. I've heard of all kinds of those ad-revenue sites that mysteriously disappear when large numbers of their suscribers get close to being paid for it. But there are some legitimate ones. I've used http://us.lightspeedpanel.com/ before, and gotten paid from it.
Reply:There are many opportunities for ppl to work online nowadays and earn some extra money, by making deir own websites, thru ebay, survey opportunities, proofreading and translation, Freelance writing and so on..
However, there are many scams operating on the net and one needs to be careful and not get scammed!
I am very wary of online job/survey stuff now, having been duped twice,
i suggest u check out the legitimacy of the job/survey u r joining,
Some widely used resources for checking them are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center (www.fraud.org).
