Using a total station and a theodolite is prob.not something that you are going to learn by reading.





You can learn the concept of how they work and what their function is, but actual, practical use is going to come from hands on teaching.





Just trying to set one up will teach you that.





But.. google 'surveyor' or 'surveying' and you will find a lot of links and information on these instruments.
