How much does a land surveyor charge to survey a 2.5 acre lot?

I just need to know the four corners so I can build a fence. It had been surveyed before, but the stakes are gone now.

it may be hard to pin-point an exact $ amount for a lot of different reasons.. a lot of times it isn't just as simple as it appears, the surveyor must do enough measurement's in the field to verify the accuracy of the corners that are in the ground to be sure they accurately represent the true ownership boundary's. if the property is overgrown with adverse terrain it may take 6 to 8 hours of field work...your best bet is to contact the surveyor who did it prior (there contact info will be on the survey may) they should be able to do it a little more cost effective, rather than hiring another firm who has no prior involvement or knowledge to the property.
Reply:I'm not sure if it is by the job or acreage, but I have heard surveying costs between $300 and $500.
Reply:Call the surveyor who did your survey previously or whoever has his records now so they do not have to do all of the leg work again.

It should only cost you a couple hundred (depending on where the property is) to have it re-staked.
