My husband is a land surveyor, and one day he's thinking about switching his job to the office part of it doing Auto CAD. We live in Orange County, California right now, but have family in Oregon. I know land surveying pretty much flows with the economy - how is it in Oregon? Is it fast, slow, or rollercoaster like? Thanks!

Oregon is still churning along at a good pace, thanks in part to the rollback of Measure 37.
The salary levels are lower in Oregon than in Orange County, so be ready for that.
